History of RPI Curling

The RPI Curling Club was founded in 2008 by Marissa Wright and with the help of Dion Warr and the RPI Union has been able to allow RPI students the opportunity to participate in the sport of curling for social, recreation, or competitive play. The club practices twice a week at the Schenectady Curling Club on Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 10:00-12:00. RPI students participate at the Schenectady Men's 5 and under, Schenectady Junior, and a couple of college bonspiels. In 2011 the RPI Curling Club sent a team for the first time to College Nationals. The team consisted of Marissa Wright (Skip), Matt Wong (Vice), Jay Chamberlin (Second), and Steve Wood (Lead).
